• Hello!

Welcome to my blog - thank you for visiting!

I'm a Kent Wedding and Portrait Photographer based in Bridge, just outside Canterbury and I'm passionate about beautiful wedding photography which tells a story and captures the emotion and ambiance of the day. My style is relaxed, empathetic and unobtrusive, the best way (and the only way I know) to document one of the most significant, intimate days of your life. I like to think that i offer an exceptionally personal service and getting to know you is key.

If my approach and style of photography mirrors your vision for recording your wedding and you are looking for a unique record of your day, please contact me - I'd love to hear from you!

I also photograph families in Kent and my family home in Jersey, Channel Islands, my preference being to shoot on location rather than a starched white background. Besides being more dynamic, the shoot is intended to be fun and a lovely memory for all those involved. Should you decide that it's time to update your family portraits, why not book me to spend a couple of hours with you at your favourite location?

I hope you enjoy the forthcoming posts as much as I enjoy sharing.

Leeds Castle Kent Wedding Photographer – The marriage of Darren and Lisa

Darren and Lisa’s marriage took place at the Maidens Tower, Leeds Castle, Kent the weekend before Christmas.  The forecast had promised sunny/cloudy weather – however upon approaching the castle I drove towards a dark snowy sky and on arrival it started to sleet – definitely not forecast!!  Thankfully the sky cleared and it was beautiful fresh but sunny day.  Perfect for a pre-Christmas wedding!

The marriage and celebrations all took place at the Maiden’s Tower which is situated next to Leeds Castle on the Island. The tower is the perfect place to hold a wedding being that it’s self contained.

Here are some of my favourite images from the day…

Lisa’s something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue….Lisa’s gift to Darren…Lisa had made most of the table settings and menus herself and the wedding breakfast room looked beautiful! These are the moments I love to capture….One very happy groom!I love this shot of Lisa – what a beautiful, radiant bride! The afternoon sky was very prettyThe grounds of the castle are open to the public until late afternoon in winter, not that it seemed to worry Darren and Lisa…There’s always one!Well done ladies for braving the chill!!Whilst the wedding party were eating their wedding breakfast, i donned my coat & scarf a had a walk around the grounds of the castle.  It was incredibly cold and snow threatened, but the grounds were so calm and there was a real sense of serenity..I love capturing the real emotion of the speeches – often funny, touching, sometimes a tad embarrassing, but always delivered with love and affection..Darren and Lisa had chosen Little Big Band to entertain their guests – they were amazing and there were no shortage of folk on the dance floor!Farewell Maidens Tower…Congratulations Darren & Lisa!
