Wow – where to start with Stacey and Jacob’s wedding?!  Beautiful, warm spring weather; a charming couple, warm family, close friends.  It was a very special day indeed.

So, on to some detail! My morning started by meeting Stacey and her mother and sister at The Woolpack Inn, Chilham.  Stacy’s mum was busily creating the bridal bouquets which included my all-time favourite peonies.  It was such a lovely selection of natural blooms and an even more special touch that these had been handmade.  Stacey’s bouquet also included a broach which contained an image of her beloved grandparents who had recently passed away. It was very touching that this was her way of them being with her on her most special day.

It was then on to Chilham Village Hall  to meet with Jacob and their guests as they arrived.  I also met my friend and fellow photographer, Helen Batt, who kindly helped me on the day!  Stacey and Jacob had decided that they wanted to take some time out after the ceremony to spend some time in the bluebells woods locally for some portrait shots, so it was really helpful having Helen to take some shots during the reception.  Talking of bluebells, the woods were stunning and the bright new canopy very beautiful.  The bluebells created a wonderful blue hue.

Stacey’s father had arranged a surprise mode of transport to take his daughter to the village hall, a coach and a couple of horses, which were real beauties! Stacey and Jacob were able to enjoy a quick five minutes after the ceremony, to enjoy the coach and horses and the beautiful spring weather.

Guests were treated to a feast of a super tasty hog roast and delicious selection of salads, catered for by Hoggs and Kisses. Cleverly, dessert was Stacey and Jacob’s wedding cake which was created by Stacey’s mum.  The cake was a delicious selection of Stacey and Jacobs favourite cakes, including Boston Brownies.  Oh, my goodness – they were the best brownies I’d ever tasted. So much so that Stacey’s mum has just forwarded me the recipe!

Odyssey Wedding Disco provided the music – the effective playlist had the dance floor packed and a number of special moves were to be witnessed!

It was an absolute joy to be part of their family orientated wedding. The strong bond between this family was evident from the start and very heart warming.
