What a fabulous evening for Amy and Matt’s engagement shoot – warm sunshine and beautiful light!   I first met Amy and Matt last year when we met to discuss their plans for their wedding at The Orangery, Maidstone  and how I would capture the day.  I knew straight away that they would be very good fun and great to work with, so naturally I was delighted when they asked me to document their wedding, this July.

Back to the shoot….  I’d asked Amy and Matt to come prepared with sunglasses for the first part of the shoot as the sunlight was too bright and initially we used the time to get to know each other a bit better and for them to get used to being in front of my lens.  As the sun lowered in the sky, sunglasses weren’t needed any more and I was able to capture some beautifully tender moments between this lovely pair!  Actually, I needed to give very little direction to Amy and Matt – they have a fantastic playful relationship and were a joy to photograph.

Here are a few of my favourite images from the hour or so we shared together…..
