After all the unsettled weather we’ve been having it was great to meet up with Mat and Alana at my home town of Fordwich, Kent.  Yet again, rain had been forecast for early evening so we decided to move the shoot forward to early afternoon – not a problem with the light seeing as we were shrouded with cloud which was diffusing the sunlight very nicely!

A plus point for heading out into the countryside at this time of the day is  that there’s a good chance of avoiding mosquitoes – I discovered that Mat attracts them as well as i do!

Mat and Alana were wonderfully relaxed and it was lovely that we all shared an appreciation of the countryside.  Being that Fordwich is very close to Westbere Lakes, the wildlife is abundant and it was fascinating spotting dragon flies and unusual looking insects! We did well not to come into contact with any mosquitoes until we came across the entrance of the woods, so after a couple of bites we made a hasty retreat to the open countryside again!

Here a few of my favourite images from the couple of hours we spent together, which was great fun!

Could that be Mat keeping a watch out for impending mosquitoes?!!

Thank you for a lovely afternoon!  Looking forward to shooting your wedding in September!
