I was delighted when they asked me to be their St Julian’s Club Wedding Photographer as I’d documented a wedding there a couple of years ago.  The views from the terrace overlooking the Kentish Weald and make for the perfect backdrop for their reception celebrations.

The day started with photographing Sarah, her bridesmaids and the commotion that goes with preparing to marry the love of your life, your best friend. I love Capturing the fun and friendships, and it was indeed be something special. It was then time to meet Adam and the wedding party at St Julians Club. It’s an excellent opportunity to capture the for guests arriving and all the elements the bride won’t get to witness. 

Sarah arrived with her father looking a dream in a beautifully elegant wedding gown, which had stunning beading detail at the back. After a meeting with the registrars, Sarah made her entrance. Adam was nervously waiting with his best man by his side. There were few dry eyes after readings given by Adam’s father and Sarah’s Maid of Honour; it was a lovely touch.

Following the ceremony, we took the opportunity to take some photographs while the guests mingled and drank fizz and ate delicious canapés. The speeches were very personal and entertaining. Before sunset, we took ourselves to the nearby woodland, which was full of beautiful bluebells and was the perfect backdrop for their portrait photographs. Sarah and Adam were naturals in front of the lens, and their love for each other was palpable. It was then time for the party and plenty of  

Bopping to a live band concluded a fabulous day, and it was a joy to capture Adam and Sarah’s special celebrations. Here are some of my favourite images from the day…
