Breast Caner Care Pink Ribbon Walk – Leeds Castle Kent

My good friend Steph, who is a champion of Breast Cancer Care, asked some time ago if I would document the Pink Ribbonwalk at Leeds Castle at the beginning of June – run in association with Women and Home publication. The event was brilliantly organised – they had thought of everything – it just ran so smoothly. I was delighted to be involved in such a worth while event. It was a very special day and it was a pleasure to be amongst so many inspirational people. Well done everyone – what a fabulous day!
These few images are just a snap shot from the day.

The first of two warm up sessions…

On your marks!  The first group of walkers were walking for 20 miles…

Andrea from Loose Women came along to give her support as did Emma from KMFM’s breakfast show.

The second warm up of the day for the ’10 mile walkers’Kim and Sarah doing the warm up! What energy – they really got everyone up on their feet !!

The organisers secured the ribbons which walkers, family and friends had written personal messages on.

I was really touched by this message – so poignant… Family and friends enjoyed strawberries and cream and cups of tea whilst they waited for the walkers to return…

Well done the BCC crew – it was a fantastic day and the organisation was excellent!
