My clients will know that I LOVE confetti! I suggest that couples provide confetti for their guests if they are really keen on having a ‘confetti shot’ or perhaps plant some seeds in people’s minds that you’d like confetti. I also discuss this element when we run thru the itinerary for the day. It’s lovely when the confetti throwing is spontaneous but more than often, this is a shot I need to organise with a bit of help from one of the ushers or bridesmaids. I like to arrange guests in two rows, facing each other and I then give the nod to the couple to walk through the confetti tunnel. It’s a lovely opportunity to take some natural, reactionary shots and to include the wedding party too – plus the fluttering petals (or biodegradable tissue paper!) are so pretty!
spontaneous, caught ungard!
This shot was taken at La Mare Vine Yards in Jersey where Lydia and Peter cleverly improvised with blue hydrangea petals which the venue kindly said the couple could use from their beautiful gardens.
Some confetti shots are really effective converted to black and white……
so get planning that confetti!
