The day had finally arrived for Leona and Drew’s beautiful wedding at Hayne Barn House near Folkestone. I love spring time – such an interesting, exciting time of year in the garden and countryside – the gardens at Hayne Barn House were no exception – so pretty and I was immediately drawn to the large cherry blossom tree in the grounds.
My day began by meeting Leona and and her bridesmaids in the bridal suite at Hayne Barn, where preparations were in full swing and Leona was in the final stages of having her hair styled. After recording all the pretty detail shots and documenting all the busyness of the girl’s preparation, I met Drew and his groomsmen just as they were helping each other with their corsage, with a bit of help from Rebecca for that female touch!
From then on, I just went on to document the day as it unfolded, preferring to blend into the background to capture those special moments which will unlock the memories of the day for years to come.
It was such a lovely, intimate, calm and relaxed day – a great celebration for Leona and Drew. It was such a pleasure to be part of their day and to be made to feel so welcome!
Here are few of my favourite images from the day….
Leona and Drew had the great idea of choosing the Village Chippy for their main course – they had kindly ordered me a meal as well – the fish and chips were fantastic!
After the speeches, we took a stroll around the pretty gardens for Leona and Drew’s portrait shots. Minus the fact that I was with them, it was a nice opportunity for the two of them to just have a bit of time out to share some moments together. They were so relaxed in front of the lens – a joy to photograph…
