The day had finally arrived for Jennie and Nick’s wedding at The Knowle Country House on beautifully sunny warm day in June. I first met Jennie and Nick a couple of years ago when I photographed Jennie’s mother’s wedding so I felt very privileged when Jennie and Nick asked me to be their photographer for their special day! We had a great time getting to know each other when we met up in April for their engagement shoot (click here if you missed the blog posting) – Jennie and Nick have a lovely playful relationship and were a joy to photograph!
This was the first time I had shot at Knowle Country House – I’d seen some images on their website so I had a sense the gardens were pretty – what a gorgeous Kent Wedding venue! It was the perfect time of year for all the beautiful roses which were in full bloom as was the rest of the garden. The house is nestled amongst substantial private grounds and even has an orchard to the rear of the property. The team were super friendly and welcoming (thank you for that!) and nothing was too much trouble.
It was fantastic to see Bev (and Gary!) again (Jennie’s Mum) when I met up with Jennie and her sister in the bridal preparation suite – it didn’t feel like it had been getting on for 18 months. It was very nice to see Jennie’s family too – I was so pleased to be recording and being a part of this day.
Jennie is a natural beauty and I loved her choice of wedding gown and the flowers in her hair were very pretty – such an elegant bride. Nick and his groomsmen looked very dapper in the morning suits and Nick seemed to have everything in hand!
The weather couldn’t have been better – a wonderful day and mixture of tender moments, excitement, laughter and a few tears of happiness – lots of emotion! Here are a few of my favourite images from Jennie and Nick’s intimate, beautiful wedding day…..
