Krystal and Courtney chose the Secret Garden near Ashford in Kent for their intimate summer wedding – and what a gorgeous day it was too! This was my first time shooting a wedding at the Secret Garden and what a pretty venue! With lots of nooks and crannies, interesting walled gardens and a fabulous kitchen garden where they grow seasonal fruit and vegetables and some flowers, it’s the perfect venue for romantic wedding and offers many photographic opportunities.
First port of call for me was the Five Bells Inn Brabourne where Krystal was joined by her mother, sister, niece and Courtney’s daughter. The Five Bells is a quirky, chic hotel and is nestled in the village of Brabourne – the hotel fitted Krystal’s vintage style perfectly!
Onwards to the Secret Garden to meet with Courtney, his best man and capture their guests as they arrived. We waited in anticipation for Krystal’s arrival – how elegant she looked, a natural beauty. Her wedding gown was exquisite. Together with Krystal’s Sister who was maid of honour and looked beautiful in her dusty pink gown, the flower girls looked absolutely adorable in their floaty pastel dresses.
After Krystal and Courtney’s ceremony and a touching reading by Krystal’s sister, the two were showered with confetti and they made their way to enjoy their drinks reception and games on the lawn. After a few group shots it was time for the wedding breakfast – the tables were beautifully laid and pretty bunting and lots of fun polaroids adorned the outdoor seating area. The wedding breakfast was a Caribbean feast and wow what fantastic food!
With emotional speeches and some impressive dancing in the glasshouse, I left the celebrations in full swing!
Here are few of my favourite images from the day……
