Phil and Rachel were married at the very popular Cooling Castle Barn, near Rochester, which is set amongst the wilds of the North Kent Marshes, in April The Gardens and surrounding countryside are beautiful and offer some great options for photography.
After re-acquainting myself with the gardens and nearby fields, I joined Rachel and her bridesmaids and mother in the bridal suite. Rachel had arrived with her hair styled and make-up applied so the mood was pretty relaxed. It was evident that their adorable flower girl was super excited!
Phil and his groomsmen were all in good form when I met them at the bar – it’s nice to be able to capture the comradery and any nerves!
After their ceremony and some reception time, we had a break in the weather so we were able to go outside to get some group shots and then it was time for Rachel and Phil’s first meal as husband and wife, hence the term ‘wedding breakfast’.
We were so lucky with the weather and were able to get some gorgeous sunset shots after some humorous speeches. Rachel and Phil were an absolute delight to photograph and it was a pleasure to document their day.
Here’s some lovely feedback they gave me..
‘We are so happy that we chose Catherine to be our wedding photographer. Completely blown away by the photos as they are even better than we could have imagined. As well as the ‘standard’ wedding photos, Catherine has produced some beautifully creative shots which we are thrilled with. She is extremely professional but at the same time such an easy person to get along with. Lots of our guests commented on how lovely the photographer was! ‘
