I had the pleasure of documenting Emma and David’s wedding in July – a Sussex wedding at The English Wine Centre near Alfriston.  We were so lucky with the weather and the rain held off!

Emma had chosen to get ready at her parents home in Hastings, so I made the decision to drive down to Hastings the night before and stay in a b & b so I was nice and fresh for the morning!   It was such a lovely evening that I had fish and chips on the beach – has to be done!

So the morning of Emma and David’s wedding…  I arrived to a hive of activity and a very calm Emma!  It was really nice that Emma was able to get ready with her family around her and lovely that her parents made me feel so welcome.  I then headed off to meet David and his Groomsmen at The English Wine Centre.  This is the first time I’ve shot at this venue – it’s very pretty and the owners, Christine and Colin were so helpful and friendly.  I’d met David and Emma at the venue the evening before so I was able to acquaint myself with the layout and the grounds. The Long Man of Willmington can be seen fairly close by from the grounds – so I had in mind that I would try and include him in some shots!

David and his Groomsmen were looking very dapper and were all on good form! David’s young nephew looked particularly handsome!

Emma’s bridesmaids and mother arrived in a VW camper van, followed by Emma with her father in a gorgeous VW Bettle!  Everyone looked beautiful – and ready for a wedding!

It was such a lovely ceremony and I felt privileged to record Emma and David’s intimate service.

Here are few of my favourite images from the bridal preparations to their receiving line…
