After Charlotte and Mark’s engagement shoot at Reculver Towers in May, I’d been looking forward to shooting their Church Wedding at St Mary’s Church at Reculver in Kent.  We couldn’t have asked for nicer weather – such a welcome change to the perpetual rain!

My day started off at Charlotte’s family home where she was joined by her parents, sister and bridesmaids.  Charlotte was very relaxed and the bubbly was flowing – her parents were so welcoming – it was a lovely start to the day.  It was great to be working with local makeup artist Kelli Waldock again – i love her work and approach!

It was a beautiful church service and wonderful to be a part of.  After the ceremony, Mark and Charlotte were whisked off by horse and carriage and then hopped into a wonderful vintage Rolls Royce to their very stylish reception venue The Abode Hotel in Canterbury

It was a really super day! Here are a few images from the preparations to the start of the wedding breakfast…

just those finishing touches…

It was the most beautiful day and we were lucky enough to have a ‘Portuguese Blue Sky’ – as a friend of mine would describe it and it’s always stuck!
