Nicola and Matt were married at The Church of St Martin in Canterbury on a beautiful sunny day on the first day of June. St Martin’s church is England’s oldest parish church in continuous use so it’s very special and a very beautiful church so I was delighted when they asked me to shoot their wedding! Reception drinks were held at the near by St Martin’s Priory and then it was off to Boughton Golf Club.
My day started off by meeting Matt and Groomsmen at a local hotel in Canterbury, Kent. If logistically possible, I always like to capture the groom and his party preparing – even if it’s to capture some comradery before joining heading off to capture the bridal preparations.
A short distance away, I met Nicola and bridal party at The Falstaff Hotel in Canterbury. I arrived just as Nicola was giving presents to her bridesmaids – so well timed. It’s so lovely to be able to capture these moments…
It was a lovely day and we were blessed with good weather!
Here are a few of my favourite images of the day…
Nicola had given this beautiful watch to Matt as a wedding gift and Matt was clearly delighted!
I think it’s nice to capture these details – a good reminder of what perfume was worn the day you got married!
Here come the boys!
Nicola arrived at the church looking radiant!
a lucky mascot!
The beautiful Tudor gardens which are located within St Martin’s Priory, situated behind St Martin’s church, are lovingly cared for and well stocked…
Love this cheeky chapy!
and off to Boughton Golf Club near Faversham
I loved Matt and Nicola’s cake topper!
We decided to catch the last of the good light so took the opportunity to wander over to area of the Golf course which wasn’t being played!
This is fun!
Congratulations Matt & Nicola!
