Chris and Issie had chosen The Old Kent Barn in Swingfield near Folkestone in Kent as their venue for their wedding at the beginning of May. It’s a fantastic venue – beautifully stocked gardens, fabulous organisation (Hilary and Claire run a tight ship and the attention to detail is second to none!) and the recently built additional barn is stunning with it’s high ceilings and airy, light feel – and the majestic light fittings are quite incredible!
So, my day started off with me meeting Issie, her sisters, sister in law to be and friends at Tony & Guy in Canterbury City centre. There was a fantastic atmosphere when i arrived and the champagne was flowing! The salon had been especially opened on the Sunday so there was plenty of space for the bridesmaids to do a final rehearsal!
I then moved on to Old Kent Barn where i met up with Chris, who looked very handsome in his wedding attire!
The wedding breakfast tables were just stunning and the flowers very majestic in the centre of each table. Chris and Issie are both great fans of golf, so this theme played a part in the day and provided plenty of entertainment for the guests after the ceremony as did the suprise slides how display gifted by Chris’s brother!
The rain managed to hold back and although it was quite a chilly day, Chris and Issie were able to have the out door ceremony that had hoped for. Issie looked absolutely beautiful and did brilliantly to brave the cold! The ceremony was very personal and Chris and Issie had written their own vows – which evoked more than a few tears – it was very touching.
It was a lovely day, filled with love and happiness – a wonderful celebration!
final rehearsal ladies!
Congratualtions Chris and Issie!
