A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of spending a couple of hours in the afternoon with Dave and Kylie and their sons Finlay and Kian. We’d had to postpone their family photo shoot a few times as it had been so cold and dreary! We’d initially organised a coastal shoot but had decided it would be better to come inland to the countryside where we were a bit more sheltered. We were so lucky with the weather – it stayed dry for us and we even caught glimpse of the sunshine a few times! Dave and Kylie are getting married in April at Mount Ephraim Gardens which happens to be one of my favourite venues locally. By the time their wedding arrives, there should be lots of blossom – i’m hoping anyway as spring has been rather slow to arrive this year.
Whilst organising their shoot, I suggested bringing some bubbles and a ball of some kind – it happened to be a rugby ball, so no guessing which sport Dave likes! It didn’t take long for us to get to know each other and the boys were an absolute delight – so friendly and good natured. Adorable children! We had a great afternoon, which combined with a bit of exercise, fresh air and muddy puddles was a lovely way of getting a bit familiar with each other in preparation for the big day!
