Nick and Anna’s winter wedding at Lympne Castle was a very stylish affair with friends and family travelling from accross the globe.  We’d been threatened with some winter weather – snow and fog but thankfully after a dusting of snow, all was well and all guests managed to touch down into various airports and travel to the castle.

When I first spoke to Nick and Anna, the theme for their wedding was very much focused on a fun, relaxed day and they certainly suceeded!

Anna was joined by one of her friends and sister in the castle for her beauifying and being that Nick had chosen one of the cottages to prepare, along with this brother and best man, it meant I could docment both elements of their story.  It was a very touching, intimate ceremony with a sprinkling of humour when it came to Nick prounouncing Anna’s (the clue is in ‘Dutch’ Anna – the affectionate name used a number of times during the day!).

With so many family members and long term friendships present for their marriage and celebrations, it was such a wonderful day and complete fun!  Anna had prepared a speech for her new husband and also an adapted tune for him too – so lovely.  The speeches interwinded between the wedding breakfast were plentiful, insightful and entertaining and a joy to doucment – it’s one of my favourite parts of the day to capture.  One of the highlights for me was the slideshow Anna’s hometown friends had created for her as a suprise – very memorable.

Here’s some fantastic feedback Anna  & Nick have given..

“Catherine was excellent and very accommodating. We were unable to meet her prior to the wedding day but we had very good communication via Skype and were able to plan everything we needed in advance. On the day, the weather was ‘variable’ to say the least (February!). Catherine was very flexible and worked tirelessly to make excellent photos we’ll cherish for years”

Well what a day!  What a celebration for this gorgeous couple!  Here are a few of my favourite images from the day….
