I’d been looking forward to shooting Katy and Bedros’s since I first met them when they booked me to shoot their church wedding in Deal and celebrations at Lympne Castle in April this year.  This was also fueled when I got the vibe that Katy was excited about the shoot which was great to hear!

We met at their home in Deal last weekend ago and then headed off to some woodland locally which is a favourite spot of theirs, accompanied by their three dogs!  It was a sunny, warm afternoon (almost unseasonably warm!) and it was a beautiful, tranquil location.  Bedros brought his guitar with him to serenade Katy – how romantic?!!

Katy and Bedros were a joy to photograph and were totally relaxed in front of the lens.  It’s still really helpful to have the opportunity to meet with a couple and do this kind of shoot as I believe it’s a great way to build a rapport and to see how a couple ‘fit together’ and to give some gentle guidance on posture etc.  Ultimately my goal it so achieve natural images which reflect the mood of the moment and some tenderness and affection between a couple and some playfulness of course!

Here are some of my favourite shots from the afternoon….Katy-&-Bedros's-ES-1
