I had the pleasure of photographing Rochelle and Ed’s very stylish wedding this spring in Jersey (my favourite season being a keen gardener).  After inclement weather was predicted, Rochelle had wall to wall sunshine for their Mont Orgueil Castle Wedding Photography, all be it a bit fresh at the top of the castle.in Jersey, in the  Rochelle has family ties to the island and always knew she wanted to get married in Jersey.  Rochelle and Ed chose to marry at the castle and have their reception at the L’Horizon.

Mont Orgeuil Castle (also referred to as Gorey Castle) has a special place in my heart as it played a big part in our annual holidays to visit our grandparents on their farm and wider family.  In those days the castle was lit by a multitude of colours – such an iconic part of Jersey’s rich history.  So, I was thrilled when Rochelle contacted me some 18 months earlier to ask me to document their special day.

What a beautiful, intimate and emotional ceremony in such a distinctive location. Their wedding party consisted of a small number of family and close friends who all had such fabulous personalities that it was a really fun packed, exuberant day!  One of the highlights was when Rochelle and Ed were met at the L’Horizon by their 4 legged friends – just gorgeous.  The tide wasn’t in our favour for their golden hour portrait shots, so we headed to a wooded area.

Another highlight for me was the dancing – what a riot! That dance floor was packed all evening – there were some serious dance moves happening on that floor!

Thank you for choosing me to document your wedding day and for giving permission to share some of the story telling highlights of your day x

If you are planning on getting married at Mont Orgueil Castle and my natural, documentary story telling approach, I’d love to hear from you!
