I had the pleasure of documenting Rachael and Gary’s wedding at The Old Kent Barn in August.  I’d been looking forward to capturing their day since we shot their engagement shoot a year ago – we had a great time and they are such a lovely couple.

Their wedding day was a fantastic celebration – a lovely wedding party, a brother who’d travelled from Australia especially for the occasion, entertainment, wonderful surroundings and a sunset!

Gary and Rachael’s ceremony was very touching, emotional readings evoking some tears and laughter as were the speeches – I felt privileged to be able to share their day and such intimate moments.

Here are few of my favourite images from the day….

Rachael arrived in the tuk tuk glowing and looking beautiful!

Rachael and Gary had booked Etienne to entertain their guest during the reception.  He was a particular hit with the children who shadowed him for most of the duration!

Etienne continued to entertain the wedding guests inside the barn in between the courses of the wedding breakfast… it was the perfect opportunity for me to capture some great reactions to his magic!

on to the speeches…

after the wedding breakfast and when the light was softer and less harsh, I whisked Rachael and Gary off for their portrait shots around the lovely grounds.  It really was worth the wait – the light was beautiful and we were lucky enough to enjoy a gorgeous sunset.  Even though Rachael and Gary had their engagement shoot last year (a sunset shoot at Whitstable) they were perfectly relaxed for these shots…

Congratulations Gary and Rachael!
