I was delighted to be photographing Alana and Mat’s wedding in September – we had a lovely time when we shot their engagement shoot at Fordwich.  Their marriage took place in a delightful little church of St Augstine’s which is in East Langdon, Kent.  The church entrance had been beautifully decorated with hops and a selection of delicate roses.  Similarly, the end of each church pew were decorated with a pretty selection of flowers and foliage.

The ceremony was very moving and I was lucky enough to capture all the emotion from the front.  It is a huge privilege to be able to record and be a part of a couples most intimate, significant days in their lives. Such an elegant couple – a joy to work with.

After some confetti throwing (I’m a big confetti fan – the more the better!) we all headed back to Port Lympne Mansion for reception drinks, the wedding breakfast and later on, a safari around Port Lympne Zoo.

It was a really super day!  Here are a few images from the day…

The wedding breakfast room was truly stunning – and I loved Alana’s selection of flowers – beautiful!wedding breakfast tables at Port Lympne Mansion

Alana is an artist and each table had a hand painted place setting – each individual…

again, Alana had decorated their wedding cake – quite exquisite!

Family and friends helped to dress the church with these beautiful flowers – so pretty! Alana’s brothers also built a temporary lynch gate for the church garden – genius idea!

Alana’s stunning bouquet was created by Lauren at Essentially Hops in Bekesbourne, Kent.  Lauren also supplied the flower displays for the tables for the wedding breakfast.  I love the mix of floral and feathers!

The weather was so wonderful and the view just amazing, that the speeches were held on the terrace – everyone had a good vantage point too!Father of the Bride speech at Port Lympne Mansion Kent

I think it’s nice to record what was drunk at one’s wedding….

Whilst the wedding party were enjoying their wedding breakfast (the food by the way was outstanding!), I took a stroll around the grounds of the mansion and took some shots…
